After a triumphant European tour showcasing his work in Germany, Haile King Rubie, a remarkable Harlem artist, returns to the heart of New York with a major exhibition at the Victoria Restaurant in the new Renaissance Hotel. Rubie’s striking brush will light up the 5th floor with a solo exhibit of 15 new paintings.
The exhibition opens to the public on September 25, 2024, with a special preview for press and galleries at 4 PM, followed by access for collectors at 6 PM. The collection promises to captivate audiences with its dynamic expressionism and reflection of Harlem’s vibrant spirit.
Rubie’s artwork, known for its bold colors and intricate textures, perfectly complements the modern and stylish ambiance of the Victoria Restaurant. The collection invites guests to experience a rich tapestry of cultural narratives, transforming every visit into an immersive journey.
“Creating art that resonates with the heartbeat of Harlem has always been my passion. This exhibition is my love letter to the community,” says Rubie.
“We are thrilled to host such an inspiring collection that enhances the vibrant atmosphere of our space and offers our guests a unique cultural experience,” adds Mike General Manager of the Victoria Restaurant.
The Victoria Restaurant is open Monday through Sunday, from 11 AM to 10 PM. The exhibition will be on display for two months.
